At Boudezan, product safety is important. This policy explains safety information for indoor and outdoor playsets and play structures, assembly, installation, use, recalls, and product safety communications.
1. General product safety
Customers should read and follow all product instructions, warnings, assembly manuals, maintenance instructions, and safety information provided with each playset.
Playsets may be used indoors or outdoors as stated on the product page, and only by children within the indicated age range. Do not exceed the indicated weight limits or the maximum number of users. Do not modify, drill, overload, or abuse the product.
2. Assembly safety
Some playsets or play structures require assembly. Customers are responsible for carefully following the assembly instructions, and all fasteners, connectors, and connection points must be firmly secured as described in the instructions.
Before use, check that screws, bolts, and fasteners are tight and that no parts are loose, cracked, or damaged. Improper assembly may result in instability, product damage, personal injury, or property damage.
For large or heavy playsets, we recommend that two adults carry out the assembly or call in a qualified professional if necessary.
3. Supervision and safe use
Children must be supervised by an adult while using the playset. Do not allow climbing or playing on parts that are not designed for that purpose, and do not add accessories, ropes, cords, or straps that are not original parts installed according to the instructions.
Place the playset on level ground with adequate clearance around it: indoors, on a level, stable, and slip-resistant floor; outdoors, on level ground with impact-absorbing surfacing such as grass, and not on concrete, asphalt, or other hard surfaces unless the product page states otherwise. Keep the playset away from stairs, windows, glass, hard edges of other household items, fences, walls, water, heat sources, and similar hazards. If ground anchors are provided, install them according to the instructions. Suitable floor mats or safety surfacing are recommended where indicated on the product page.
Do not allow children to wear loose clothing, drawstrings, scarves, or jewelry while playing, as these may get caught on parts of the playset.
4. Children and safety in the home
Customers must keep small parts, fasteners, packaging materials, and plastic bags out of reach of children and pets during and after unpacking and assembly. Packaging materials must be safely removed after assembly.
5. Product Care
Follow all care instructions provided with the product. Clean surfaces with a soft, damp cloth and mild detergent where appropriate, and dry them afterwards. Check fasteners, connectors, and moving parts regularly, and avoid exposure to excessive humidity, direct heat, harsh sunlight, harsh detergents, or improper cleaning methods unless the product is designed to withstand them. For outdoor playsets, follow the additional weather protection and maintenance instructions provided, and check wooden parts and fasteners regularly for weathering.
6. Product Recalls and Safety Warnings
If we become aware of a product recall, safety warning, or corrective action that affects a playset we sell, we may contact affected customers using the contact information provided at the time of purchase.
We may also provide instructions on repair, replacement, refund, disposal, or other corrective action.
7. Report safety issues
If you believe a playset poses a safety risk, please stop using it and contact us immediately at info@boudezan.com or +33 1 42 62 82 86.
Include your order number, product name, description of the safety issue, photos or videos, and product labels, batch numbers, or identifying information if available.
8. EU product safety information
For products, including toys, sold to consumers in the European Union, applicable product safety, manufacturer, importer, responsible economic operator, warning, and traceability information must be provided on the product, packaging, associated documentation, product page, or upon request where required by law.
If you have questions about EU product safety information for a playset, please contact us at info@boudezan.com.
